Conditions of entry in Vietnam
Accordingly, international tourists to Vietnam are required to meet medical conditions as regulated by the Ministry of Health. At the border gate, if tourists have symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection, they should immediately notify the health authorities to take medical measures as prescribed. Another requirement is that travelers must have medical or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum liability of 10,000 USD. <br/>Also on the morning of March 15, the Vietnamese Government issued a resolution on visa waivers for citizens from 13 countries namely Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus.<br/>Citizens of the above-mentioned countries will enjoy 15 days of visa-free travel in Vietnam beginning from their date of entry regardless of the kind of passport and entry purpose, on the basis of satisfying all conditions as prescribed by Vietnamese law.<br/>Guidance on resuming tourism activities under new normal from March 15th 2022

- Effective March 15, 2022, the Vietnamese government has resumed pre-pandemic visa issuance policies. All previous visa restrictions have been lifted. All questions on Vietnamese visas, residence applications, customs matters, entry and exit, and other immigration issues should be directed to the appropriate Vietnamese immigration office. These issues are at the sole discretion of the Vietnamese government. If you are in the United States, you may contact the Vietnamese Embassy or Consulate for official instructions. Is a negative COVID-19 test (PCR and/or serology) required for entry? [Yes]
- For travelers entering Vietnam, the Ministry of Health requires either a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of travel or rapid test taken with 24 hours. COVID-19 tests must be administered and certified by competent health authorities. Visitors are required to self-monitor their health for 10 days upon arrival, and there are no quarantine requirements for travelers without COVID-19 symptoms. These requirements apply to land, air, rail, and sea travel, and travelers presenting a non-negative test are subject to Ministry of Health regulations, including quarantine.
