TRIP ITINERARY

NIGHT 1: ARRIVAL DATE - THON THA

Upon your arrival time, your transfer driver will pick you up from Ha Giang bus station to your homestay in Thon Tha village. Check-in homestay and enjoy your free time there by walking around to visit some local families and explore its landscape. Overnight at a Tay traditional house.

Day 1: THON THA – KHUOI MY – LUNG VAI – HA THANH -18KM – STEEP ROUTE

8:30 AM after breakfast, start your hard trek on a valley route up to the mountain linking between Thon Tha and Khuoi My. Your local guide will tell you some local stories and share the Dao Ao Dai unique culture in which you can see in Khuoi My village- home of about 200 Dao Ao Dai ethnic minority households, located in the edge of the highest mountain in Northeast Vietnam namely “Tay Con Linh” peak. In the afternoon, trek and hike to Ha Thanh village where it is famous for a cool waterfall. Visitors can swim at there or just lay down on grass to enjoy its peaceful view. Then, save your energy to go trekking more beautiful trail to Thon Tha village. Overnight at the same Tay homestay.

Day 2: THON THA – NAM TE – MAU PHIN – XA PHIN – 16km

At 8AM, be ready to your today trek to Xa Phin hamlet – called as “small Hoang Su Phi” with unique mossy roofs on Tay Con Linh range. Roofs of stilt houses covered with thick green moss at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level along the Tay Con Linh mountain range in Xa Phin hamlet, Phuong Tien commune, Vi Xuyen district create unique beauty in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang.  In Xa Phin hamlet, the cool weather all year round creates favorable conditions for plants to grow and thrive, especially green moss on the damp palm-leaf roofs of stilt houses. With cool weather year-round, Xa Phin village is often cloudy, covered in mist with high humidity accompanied by drizzle. Day 3: XA PHIN – LUNG VAI – PHUONG TIEN – THON THA – 14KM

Xa Phin hamlet is a part of Tay Con Linh mountain range.  Tay Con Linh is famous for its ancient tea tree so it will be too pity if you miss learning how to make tea here. In this morning, go to the tea forest to pick up tea leaves with a local tea expert who will give you information of our tea culture. Ancient Shan Tuyet tea lives on Tay Con Linh mountain at altitudes from 1300m up to 1700m. Shan means the high mountains & Tuyet means snow. Shan Tuyet tea is a proud one of the quintessence of Vietnamese tea culture. Each tea bud is hand-plucked by ethnic local persons from ancient trees aged 150 years to over 700 years.  After that, lunch will be served at your homestay, then trek to Thon Tha village through rice terraced paddies in the afternoon. Dinner will be served at your homestay in Thon Tha before taking your night transport back to Hanoi tonight.
