SOCIAL EVENT PROJECT

The Social Event Project was created to give volunteers and disadvantaged communities in northern Vietnam an opportunity to exchange knowledge and help local youth improve their confidence and skills. This project can be customised to include musical activities, handicraft making, games, cooking, improving English speaking and any other appropriate skills you’d like to pass on. You’ll also have time to explore the local area with a trek or ride through the mountains on a motorbike. Please inquire now to discuss with YESD how you can be involved in this fantastic project

PROJECT ITINERARY EXAMPLE

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang

Arrive in Hanoi and take the Hanoi Highlights tour, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and other important sites. After a traditional Hanoian dinner you’ll take the night bus to Ha Giang.

Day 2: Ha Giang

On arrival in Ha Giang you’ll be taken to your homestay and meet your hosts and have a tasty breakfast. You’ll be given a tour around the village and visit a paper product centre and an embroidery making centre. At night you’ll organise a music night for the disabled school students.

Day 3: Ha Giang

Today you’ll visit the children’s hospital where you’ll organise games and fun activities for the patients.

Day 4, 5, 6 & 7: Ha Giang

Over the next few days you’ll continue working with local youth, organising activities and workshops. In the morning you can help your hosts with cooking or farm work and at night you may also like to take part in a musical exchange with the local community. On the last night in Ha Giang you’ll have a farewell party with your hosts and your new friends.

Day 8: Ha Giang - Hanoi

After a sleep-in you’ll take the bus back to Hanoi. From there you may like to continue your holiday or travel back home.
This is example of what a construction project itinerary may look like. We’ll organise a custom itinerary for your own project. Included: Ground transport, English-speaking guide, accommodation, activities & meals mentioned above. Not included: Airfares, visa fees, travel insurance, gratuities, personal expenses & all other services not clearly mentioned above.
