Giving is Receiving
YESD commits to use 10% of all profits from our tours go towards a community fund. This money allows them to make infrastructure improvements and provide other important resources to those in need. We aim to minimise the negative impacts of tourism on the environment and the local community while contributing positively to local economies. We don’t just talk responsible tourism, we act! Indeed, we give local people employment, income and learning opportunities so they are directly involved in your tourism experience. Our guides and hosts will give you a special insight into culture and life in Vietnam.
With this fund, we will pay back to the community where we are supporting and using their services now in the end of year. All are toward sustainable development. YESD will annouce how much does the community fund get annually through our social media. We hope that our business will get a good result in order to contribute more back into all of disadvantaged communities and reach YESD’s missions.
Besides community fund from YESD’s tour benefits, YESD is now raising a fund for cow donation. A cow for a poor family will be a great present to support their life effectively. This valuable source of income can bring about real change for families living in poverty.
Mrs Loi got married with Mr Cuong 6 years ago. They live in Ngoc Thuong village, Ha Giang. They has a 5 years old son. But life is not sweet to them. Mrs Loi has been suffering rectal cancer for 1 years. At first, it all seemed a little happy to them when they has a son, but unluckily the son has cerebral palsy. Mr Cuong is the main pillar of family but his manual work at construction and farming do not bring too much money to expense for his son and wife’s medication. Difficulties just kept accumulating in their life. They sold out almost of their rice paddies, garden to have money for food and medication. There are no property left much.
