    What Travelers Say About YESD

Real stories from travelers who joined YESD for authentic, responsible, and locally connected travel experiences in Vietnam.

Ha Chiang loop for an old boy

Well what can I say about my Ha Chiang loop trip I did with Yesd. They were excellent from start to finish. As a 54 year old man I did the loop solo with my driver Chinh as I wanted to avoid the happy water and karaoke aspect. Chinh understood this perfectly and took me on a fabulous trip. We took local routes when he could, avoiding some of main routes. He kept ahead of the ‘Mongolian army’ as he called the throngs of other loopers and often arrived at view points before they arrived …

It was a unique experience that allowed me to truly experience sustainable tourism. The activities took place in breathtaking landscapes and gave us the opportunity to learn firsthand about the traditions and lifestyle of the local communities. The team was very attentive and took care of every detail to ensure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest.
Realmente lo recomiendo! es una manera hermosa de descubrir Ha Giang y, al mismo tiempo, contribuir a un turismo responsable.

    A memory for life

An amazing experience! Incredible guides! You almost feel privileged compared to other groups. The accommodation is top-notch; the house, the welcome, the meals—everything is perfect. The mountain trek is magical, the motorbike trek is insane, incredible views the whole time, and super enriching stories. Thank you again to the entire YESD Travel team; they are truly wonderful people.

Ha Giang Backseat Motorbike Tour 2 Days FAQs

Practical answers to help you understand the private tour style, backseat motorbike setup, protective gear, route length, luggage storage, Nho Que boat option, dietary needs, transport to Ha Giang, booking process, and whether this 2-day Ha Giang motorbike route is right for your trip.

Is this a private or group tour?

This is a private tour, giving you flexibility to enjoy the route at your own pace while YESD tries to avoid big crowds and keep the experience authentic.

Can a solo traveler book this tour?

Yes. Solo travelers can book this private Ha Giang Backseat Motorbike Tour.

Do I need to know how to ride a motorbike?

No. You sit on the back of the motorbike while your guide rides, so you can enjoy the scenery without driving yourself.

Can I ride my own motorbike?

You may ride your own motorbike if you have an international driving license accepted in Vietnam. Without one, YESD recommends going with a guide because Ha Giang roads are steep, winding, and regularly checked by police.

When is the best time to visit Ha Giang?

Ha Giang is beautiful all year. For mild weather, October to November or March to May are often recommended. If you want yellow rice terraces, mid-September to early October is usually best when combined with Hoang Su Phi trekking.

Does the standard itinerary include the Nho Que boat ride?

The standard itinerary does not include the Nho Que boat ride, but you can ask YESD to add it if you want.

    What happens with my luggage?

Prepare a small backpack for the loop. Your big suitcase or luggage can be stored at the first homestay in Thon Tha Village, and you can collect it again when you return on the final day.

    Are towels and toiletries provided?

Yes. Clean towels and toiletries are provided in the accommodations, though you can bring your own if you prefer.

Can vegetarian or vegan meals be arranged?

Yes. YESD can cater to different dietary needs. Share your requirements before the tour so the guide and homestay hosts can prepare suitable meals.

How do I get to Ha Giang?

You can reach Ha Giang by bus from Hanoi, including daytime limousine bus or sleeper bus options. YESD can help support the bus arrangement, or private transportation can be arranged at an extra charge.

    What is the booking process?

Leave a request on the website with your travel details and any specific requests. YESD’s sales team will reply with an itinerary and quotation, then prepare the full itinerary and services after confirmation and deposit payment.
