    What Travelers Say About YESD

Real stories from travelers who joined YESD for authentic, responsible, and locally connected travel experiences in Vietnam.

Ha Chiang loop for an old boy

Well what can I say about my Ha Chiang loop trip I did with Yesd. They were excellent from start to finish. As a 54 year old man I did the loop solo with my driver Chinh as I wanted to avoid the happy water and karaoke aspect. Chinh understood this perfectly and took me on a fabulous trip. We took local routes when he could, avoiding some of main routes. He kept ahead of the ‘Mongolian army’ as he called the throngs of other loopers and often arrived at view points before they arrived …

It was a unique experience that allowed me to truly experience sustainable tourism. The activities took place in breathtaking landscapes and gave us the opportunity to learn firsthand about the traditions and lifestyle of the local communities. The team was very attentive and took care of every detail to ensure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest.
Realmente lo recomiendo! es una manera hermosa de descubrir Ha Giang y, al mismo tiempo, contribuir a un turismo responsable.

    A memory for life

An amazing experience! Incredible guides! You almost feel privileged compared to other groups. The accommodation is top-notch; the house, the welcome, the meals—everything is perfect. The mountain trek is magical, the motorbike trek is insane, incredible views the whole time, and super enriching stories. Thank you again to the entire YESD Travel team; they are truly wonderful people.

    #YESD FAQs

Ha Giang Loop 4 Days Motorbike Adventure FAQs

Practical answers to help you understand the private tour style, motorbike setup, protective gear, route length, riding options, luggage storage, Nho Que boat option, dietary needs, transportation to Ha Giang, booking process, and personal information requirements.

Is this a private or group tour?

This is a private tour, giving you full flexibility to enjoy the route at your own pace while YESD tries to avoid big crowds and keep the experience authentic.

Can a solo traveler book this tour?

Yes. Solo travelers can book this private Ha Giang Loop motorbike tour.

How many days should I spend on the Ha Giang Loop?

The most common option is usually 3 days and 3 nights, but this 4-day, 4-night route is better if you have more time and prefer a slower pace. Only consider the 2-day option if your time is very limited, because it requires long hours on the motorbike.

    Will protective gear be provided?

Yes. YESD provides a helmet, elbow protectors, and knee protectors for the motorbike ride.

I cannot ride a motorbike. Can I still join?

Yes. You can sit on the back of the motorbike while your local guide rides, so you can enjoy the scenery without driving yourself.

Can I ride my own motorbike?

Yes, if you have an international driving license accepted in Vietnam. If not, YESD recommends going with a guide because Ha Giang roads are steep, winding, and regularly checked by police.

When is the best time to visit Ha Giang?

Ha Giang is beautiful all year. For mild weather, October to November or March to May are often recommended. If you want to see yellow rice terraces, mid-September to early October is usually best when combined with Hoang Su Phi trekking.

Can I skip places I am not interested in?

Yes. Since this is a private tour, YESD can customize the route based on your interests and pace where possible.

Does the standard itinerary include the Nho Que boat ride?

The standard itinerary does not include the Nho Que boat ride, but you can ask YESD to add it if you want.

    What happens with my luggage?

Prepare a small backpack for the loop. Your large suitcase can be stored at the first homestay in Thon Tha Village, and you will return there on the last day to collect it before heading to the bus station.

    Are towels and toiletries provided?

Yes. Clean towels and toiletries are provided in all accommodations, though you may bring your own if you prefer.

Can vegetarian or vegan meals be arranged?

Yes. YESD can cater to different dietary needs. Share your requirements before the tour so the guide and homestay hosts can prepare suitable meals.

How do I get to Ha Giang?

You can reach Ha Giang by bus from Hanoi, including daytime limousine bus or sleeper bus options. YESD can help support the bus arrangement, or private transportation can be arranged at an extra charge.

Can YESD pick me up if I arrive early or late?

Yes. A driver can come to Ha Giang bus station or your bus drop-off point to pick you up. Share your contact number in advance so the pickup can be arranged smoothly.

    What is the booking process?

Leave a request on the website with your travel details and any specific requests. YESD’s sales team will reply with an itinerary and quotation, then prepare the full itinerary and services after confirmation and deposit payment.

Why does YESD need personal information?

Your personal information is used to register your stay with the local authority. YESD does not use your personal information for other purposes.
