TOURS TO HA GIANG LOOP BY JEEP, CAR, MOTORBIKE, …

A Ha Giang Loop Tour takes you into the dramatic landscapes of northern Vietnam, where winding mountain roads, towering limestone peaks, terraced rice fields, and peaceful valleys create some of the country’s most breathtaking scenery. The famous Ha Giang Loop is one of the best-known ways to explore the region, but there is much more to Ha Giang beyond the Loop (Suoi Thau, Hoang Su Phi, Vi Xuyen, Ho Thau, Chieu Lau Thi, …) .

From the spectacular Ma Pi Leng Pass and remote mountain villages to the terraced fields of Hoang Su Phi and the cultural landscapes around Ha Giang, the region offers diverse experiences for travellers looking to go beyond the usual tourist routes. Along the way, you can meet Hmong, Tay, Dao, and other ethnic communities, experience local traditions, and learn more about everyday life in the mountains.

Whether you choose a Ha Giang Loop Motorbike Tour for an adventurous ride through the mountains, a Ha Giang Loop Car Tour for a more comfortable private journey, or a Ha Giang Loop Jeep Tour for a more open and adventurous experience, your trip can be tailored around the places and experiences that interest you most. You can also combine the Loop with trekking, cultural experiences, or visits to other parts of Ha Giang for a deeper exploration of this remarkable region.

Ha Chiang loop for an old boy

Well what can I say about my Ha Chiang loop trip I did with Yesd. They were excellent from start to finish. As a 54 year old man I did the loop solo with my driver Chinh as I wanted to avoid the happy water and karaoke aspect. Chinh understood this perfectly and took me on a fabulous trip. We took local routes when he could, avoiding some of main routes. He kept ahead of the ‘Mongolian army’ as he called the throngs of other loopers and often arrived at view points before they arrived …

An authentic and sustainable experience

It was a unique experience that allowed me to truly experience sustainable tourism. The activities took place in breathtaking landscapes and gave us the opportunity to learn firsthand about the traditions and lifestyle of the local communities. The team was very attentive and took care of every detail to ensure we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Realmente lo recomiendo! es una manera hermosa de descubrir Ha Giang y, al mismo tiempo, contribuir a un turismo responsable.

A memory for life

An amazing experience! Incredible guides! You almost feel privileged compared to other groups. The accommodation is top-notch; the house, the welcome, the meals—everything is perfect. The mountain trek is magical, the motorbike trek is insane (beware of sore bums by the end!), incredible views the whole time, and super enriching stories. It really puts things into perspective compared to our European comforts—it feels great! To conclude this review, thank you again to the entire YESD Travel team; they are truly wonderful people.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our Ha Giang Loop Tour is a private tour, giving you the flexibility to travel at your own pace and enjoy the experience your way. We also design our routes to avoid large tourist crowds whenever possible, allowing you to experience Ha Giang’s landscapes, villages, and local culture more authentically.

A private tour also means that we can adjust the itinerary, stops, and pace according to your interests. Whether you prefer a relaxed journey, photography stops, cultural experiences, or more time in the mountains, we can customize the trip for you.
Yes. Solo travellers are very welcome to book our private Ha Giang Loop Tour. We can arrange a private car, driver, and guide for you, so you can enjoy the journey comfortably without joining a large group. If you are interested in a Ha Giang Loop Motorbike Tour, we can also arrange a private motorbike experience with an experienced local driver/easy rider.

Yes. Our Ha Giang Loop Car Tour can start from Hanoi, and we can arrange pick-up from your hotel.

If you arrive at Noi Bai International Airport and would like to travel directly to Ha Giang, airport pick-up can also be arranged. Please let our sales team know your arrival details so we can recommend the most convenient option for your trip.
For our private Ha Giang Loop Car Tour, the driver and guide are separate members of the team. You will have one driver and one guide accompanying you throughout the trip. This allows the guide to focus on sharing information about the local culture, communities, and destinations while the driver concentrates on the journey. But for our private Ha Giang Loop Motorbike Tour, the driver is also the English-speaking tour guide.
Ha Giang is beautiful throughout the year, and each season offers a different experience. The mountains, valleys, villages, and local festivals change throughout the year, so there is no single “best” time for everyone. For generally mild weather and comfortable conditions for exploring the loop, we recommend October–November or March–May.If you would like to see the famous yellow rice terraces, mid-September to early October is a particularly good time. However, the rice terraces are mainly in the Hoang Su Phi area rather than along the main Ha Giang Loop. You can combine a Ha Giang Loop Tour with trekking in Hoang Su Phi for a more diverse northern Vietnam experience.
Tour itinerary
Yes. Our private Ha Giang Loop Tour can be customized according to your interests, travel style, and preferred pace.If there are places you are particularly interested in, we can spend more time there. The standard Ha Giang Loop Tour itinerary does not include the Nho Que River boat ride. However, if you would like to experience the boat trip, we can add it to your itinerary. Please let our sales team know when making your request so we can check the schedule and arrange it for you.
Luggage & Packaging
Yes. For our private Ha Giang Loop Car Tour, your vehicle travels with you throughout the trip, so you can bring a larger suitcase if needed. However, if you choose a Ha Giang Loop Motorbike Tour, luggage space is more limited. We recommend bringing a smaller bag for the loop and leaving larger luggage in Hanoi where possible.

Diet
Yes. We can accommodate vegetarian, vegan, and other dietary requirements. Before your Ha Giang Loop Tour, our sales team will collect your dietary requirements and inform your guide and accommodation hosts in advance. As Ha Giang is a mountainous and less-developed tourism destination, food options are mainly based on local ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan meals may include fresh vegetables, tofu, beans, potatoes, rice, and other locally available ingredients. Vegetarian travellers may also have eggs if requested.

A Ha Giang Loop Jeep Tour can also be arranged for travellers who want a more open and adventurous way to explore the mountains.Vehicle types are subject to availability. If you have a specific transportation preference, please let us know when making your booking.
