TRIP ITINERARY

Our private Ha Giang jeep tour takes you beyond the main tourist attractions. Travel through winding mountain roads, visit traditional villages, meet Hmong, Tay, Dao, and other ethnic communities, and discover local crafts and everyday life. Traveling Ha Giang by jeep is particularly suitable for travelers who want an adventurous experience without having to drive a motorbike themselves.

Night 1: ARRIVAL DATE - THON THA

After you provide your bus information, we will arrange your pickup from Ha Giang Bus Station. Our driver will meet you when you arrive and transfer you to your homestay in Thon Tha Village.Enjoy your free time walking around the peaceful village, meeting local families, exploring the surrounding landscape, and having dinner with your host family.You will stay overnight in a Tay ethnic bungalow in Thon Tha Village, approximately 5 km from Ha Giang City. The traditional stilt house features a thatched roof, comfortable beds, warm blankets, mosquito nets, air conditioning, and an ensuite bathroom.

day 1: THON THA - THAI AN - LUNG TAM - YEN MINH - MEO VAC - MA PI LENG - SKYPATH - DONG VAN TOWN - 175KM

Your tour guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Giang at 8:00 AM to begin your Ha Giang jeep tour.

Hop into the open-air Jeep and start your adventure through Ha Giang’s spectacular mountain landscapes. The open design allows you to enjoy panoramic views, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and take memorable photographs throughout the journey.

Your first stop is Lung Tam Linen Cooperative in a Flower Hmong village, where you can observe traditional embroidery and textile-making techniques. Lunch will be served en route.

Continue toward Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of northern Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain passes. From the Jeep, enjoy breathtaking views of the limestone mountains and the Nho Que River far below.

You will then hike along the Skypath on the edge of Ma Pi Leng and walk to a Flower Hmong village to learn more about local life. Depending on your fitness level and preferences, your guide can arrange a 3 km or 6 km hike.

End the day in Dong Van Town and spend the night at a local hotel.

DAY 2: DONG VAN - H’MONG KING PALACE - LAO XA - LUNG KHUY CAVE - NAM DAM - 100KM

Start your day in the Jeep with a visit to the H’Mong King Palace, an important historical and architectural site in Dong Van. The palace combines European and Chinese architectural influences and was once home to the Vuong family, a powerful H’Mong family during the French colonial period.Continue your Ha Giang loop jeep journey to Lao Xa, an ancient village known for its traditional houses and H’Mong culture. Meet local families and learn about their lifestyle and traditional silver-making techniques.Next, visit Lung Khuy Cave, one of Ha Giang’s impressive limestone caves. A short walk leads to the cave, where you can see impressive stalactites and stalagmites.Continue to Nam Dam Village, a peaceful Dao community surrounded by mountains and farmland. Spend the night in a local bungalow and enjoy the quiet atmosphere of village life.

DAY 3: NAM DAM VILLAGE - NAI WATERFALL - HA GIANG MUSEUM - HA GIANG CITY - 70KM

Start the morning by walking around Nam Dam Village and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Learn more about local farming practices, traditional houses, and everyday life in the community.

Continue your final day of exploring Ha Giang by Jeep toward Quan Ba District. Travel through Bac Sum Pass and enjoy panoramic views from the open-air vehicle. Your guide will introduce you to the legend of the Quan Ba Twin Mountains and the history of Heaven’s Gate.

Return to Ha Giang City and visit the Ha Giang Museum, where you can learn more about the province’s history, cultural heritage, and diverse ethnic communities.

Your Ha Giang loop jeep tour ends at approximately 3:30 PM. If you are continuing your journey to another destination, YESD Travel can assist with arranging onward bus services according to your travel plans.

    Well what can I say about my Ha Chiang loop trip I did with Yesd. They were excellent from start to finish. As a 54 year old man I did the loop solo with my driver Chinh as I wanted to avoid the happy water and karaoke aspect. Chinh understood this perfectly and took me on a fabulous trip.     A memory for life

    An amazing experience! Incredible guides! You almost feel privileged compared to other groups. The accommodation is top-notch; the house, the welcome, the meals—everything is perfect.
