TRIP ITINERARY

Explore Moc Chau’s famous tea plantations and tranquil countryside before continuing to Ta Xua, one of Vietnam’s most popular destinations for its breathtaking sea of clouds and panoramic mountain views. Enjoy authentic Northwest Vietnamese cuisine and stop at picturesque viewpoints ideal for photography. Whether you’re planning a weekend escape, a nature retreat, or a cloud-hunting adventure, this tour offers the perfect combination of scenic beauty, cultural discovery, and relaxation in the heart of Vietnam’s northern highlands.

DAY 1: HANOI - PA CO VILLAGE - MOC CHAU - MOC CHAU TEA HILL

Our guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Hanoi at 8:00 AM to head head into the serene landscapes of Mai Chau. Your first stop is Pa Co Village, a peaceful Hmong community nestled among rolling hills and terraced fields. Here, you’ll get a glimpse into local traditions, colorful handicrafts, and the simplicity of rural life.Then continue your ride to Moc Chau. On your arrival, you can visit Moc Chau Tea Hill to immerse yourself in the refreshing beauty of Moc Chau’s iconic tea plantations, where endless rows of lush green tea bushes stretch across gently rolling hills. Stroll through the peaceful landscape, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and admire the uniquely shaped tea fields, including the famous heart-shaped tea hill. This picturesque destination offers countless photo opportunities and provides a glimpse into the region’s long-standing tea-growing tradition, making it one of the highlights of any visit to Moc Chau. Overnight at an accommodation in Moc Chau.

DAY 2: MOC CHAU - NA KA PLUM VALLEY - CHIENG KHOA WATERFALL - TA XUA

After breakfast, the day begins with a visit to Na Ka Plum Valley, a breathtaking area known for its vast fields of plum blossoms, especially vibrant during spring. This serene valley, nestled amidst rolling hills, offers a peaceful start to the day, with opportunities to stroll through blooming orchards and take in the fresh mountain air.Next, venture to Chieng Khoa Waterfall, a cascading beauty surrounded by lush forest. Take time to cool off in its crystal-clear waters or simply enjoy the tranquility and natural charm of the area. Then transfer to Ta Xua, a remote mountain destination known for its majestic peaks and sea of clouds. The drive itself is a highlight, winding through mountainous roads with panoramic views. Stay the night at a local homestay in Ta Xua.

DAY 3: TA XUA - CLOUD HUNTING AT DINOSAUR SPINE - TREK TO HANG DONG VALLEY - LONELY TREE ON TA XUA GRASSLAND - HANOI

On the last day, begin your adventure with cloud hunting at Dinosaur Spine, a narrow ridge that slices through the clouds, offering surreal panoramic views. As the morning mist dances around you, the feeling of walking on clouds becomes a magical reality.Next, trek 1 km from the Dinosaur Spine through the jungle to Hang Dong waterfall, where the sound of cascading water blends harmoniously with birdsong and rustling leaves.Continue your journey in Ta Xua to the iconic Lonely Tree on Ta Xua Grassland, standing solitary yet proud against a vast, undulating backdrop. This picturesque spot is a favorite among photographers and nature lovers alike, offering a peaceful moment to reflect and take in the raw beauty of the highlands.We will return to Hanoi in the afternoon, drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi.

    Ha Chiang loop for an old boy

    Well what can I say about my Ha Chiang loop trip I did with Yesd. They were excellent from start to finish. As a 54 year old man I did the loop solo with my driver Chinh as I wanted to avoid the happy water and karaoke aspect. Chinh understood this perfectly and took me on a fabulous trip. We took local routes when he could, avoiding some of main routes. He kept ahead of the ‘Mongolian army’ as he called the throngs of other loopers and often arrived at view points before they arrived …

    A memory for life

    An amazing experience! Incredible guides! You almost feel privileged compared to other groups. The accommodation is top-notch; the house, the welcome, the meals—everything is perfect. The mountain trek is magical, the motorbike trek is insane (beware of sore bums by the end!), incredible views the whole time, and super enriching stories. It really puts things into perspective compared to our European comforts—it feels great! To conclude this review, thank you again to the entire YESD Travel team; they are truly wonderful people.
