TRIP ITINERARY

8 AM - 8:45 AM

We’ll meet you at your hotel and depart from Hanoi center to go to Ba Duong Noi village, which is located in Hong Ha Commune, Dan Phuong District. This will take around 40 – 45 mins, and you can enjoy the view of the Hanoi countryside on the way.

8:45 AM - 12:00 PM

Upon arrival, we will walk around Ba Duong Noi village, a union of multi-craft activities. First, we will drop by a family that makes tofu and learn the process of how to make traditional Vietnamese tofu. During this time, you can enjoy the talk with the host family on how they started the business and how the business helps them with their livelihood.

Next, we will visit a family who brews rice wine. Rice wine in Ba Duong Noi village is known for its very intense tastes, but it leaves no hangover, so you can try the rice wine if you like!

12:00 PM - 13:30 PM

We will take a break after the morning tour and have a home-cooked lunch with a local family. If you like, you can help the family members with preparing the meal too. After that, feel free to rest and prepare for the afternoon activities.

13:30 PM

We will then visit the Ba Duong Noi temple, where you can learn about the flying kite tradition that has been in the village for centuries. The temple is known to be the memorial place for General Nguyen Ca of the Dinh Dynasty, who is believed to have initiated the tradition. You can also listen to the old man of the village share about the history, stories, and heritage of the renowned kite village.

14:00 PM - 16:00 PM

We will be learning Ba Duong Noi village’s kite culture by joining a hands-on kite-making workshop led by skilled artisans. You can learn the process of making your own flute kites, which create a distinctive melody when flying in the sky, and bring them home as a memorable souvenir.

16:00 PM - 16:45 PM

After finishing the workshop, we will depart back to Hanoi and the Ba Duong Noi village tour will end at around 5 PM.

Ha Chiang loop for an old boy

Well what can I say about my Ha Chiang loop trip I did with Yesd. They were excellent from start to finish. As a 54 year old man I did the loop solo with my driver Chinh as I wanted to avoid the happy water and karaoke aspect. Chinh understood this perfectly and took me on a fabulous trip. We took local routes when he could, avoiding some of main routes. He kept ahead of the ‘Mongolian army’ as he called the throngs of other loopers and often arrived at view points before they arrived …

    A memory for life

An amazing experience! Incredible guides! You almost feel privileged compared to other groups. The accommodation is top-notch; the house, the welcome, the meals—everything is perfect. The mountain trek is magical, the motorbike trek is insane (beware of sore bums by the end!), incredible views the whole time, and super enriching stories. It really puts things into perspective compared to our European comforts—it feels great! To conclude this review, thank you again to the entire YESD Travel team; they are truly wonderful people.
